National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main 2020 from January 6 to January 11, 2020. In addition, the April exam will be conducted from April 9 to 13, 2020.
In the notification released on August 21, NTA has announced that the application process for the JEE Main Exam 2020 for admission to undergraduate architecture and engineering colleges across the country will start from September 2. Interested candidates can apply at the official website, nta.ac.in or jeemain.nic.in.
According to the recent change implemented this year, foreign nationals will have to appear for JEE Main exam for admissions to IIITs, NITs and other government engineering colleges in India. As happened last year, this year the exam will be held twice in a year, wherein the first session will be held in January and the second session in April.
JEE Main 2020 exam will be held in online (Computer-Based) mode. JEE Main registration for the January session will end on September 30, and candidates can download the admit cards on December 6. The result will be declared on January 31.
On similar lines, the JEE Main registration process for the April session will begin from February 7 to March 7, 2020, and the admit card will be available for download from March 16. Subsequently, the result will be declared on April 30.
Once the January and April session exams get over, a consolidated rank list will be released. Apart from this, a separate list will be prepared that will comprise the percentile score. Candidates (Indian Nationals) who feature in the rank list of 2,45,000 are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. It is expected that nearly 20 lakh students will appear for JEE Main 2020 exam.
