JEE Main 2021: Important things you must know before Registration

The registration process of JEE Main 2021 will going to start soon. NTA will be releasing the application form for JEE Main January session in the month of November. For filling the application form candidates need to visit the official website of NTA JEE Main.

But before the candidate look for appearing JEE Main exam, he/she should know the JEE Main exam pattern & Syllabus. Also, we will be discussing about the reduction in the syllabus for JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main exam is conducted by NTA twice every year. The application form for January session is released in the month of November. Whereas April session application forms will be out in the month of February.

JEE Main Registration Process

The registration for JEE Main is done though online mode. The candidates who are interested, need to visit the official website of NTA JEE. For registration candidates need to fill their details like Name, DOB, Parent’s name, Aadhar card no., mobile no., address and other relevant asked details.

Once the above details are filled correctly, then candidates have to verify and submit the details which will lead to generation of application no. Now candidates have to login again to complete the application form by filling other details and uploading scanned images & signature. The last step of application form is to pay the fee, once fees is paid, candidate can download their completely filled application form.

Exam Pattern

Candidate must check the JEE Main exam pattern for the exam. The details of the exam pattern are given below:

For JEE Main Paper I (B.E./B.Tech) 25 Questions each will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. There will be total of 75 question carrying 4 marks each. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

JEE Main Syllabus

The syllabus of JEE Main be class 11th & 12th Level. Candidates can CBSE NCERT books, the detailed syllabus subject wise is mentioned below:

Chemistry

Physical Chemistry: Some basic concepts in chemistry, Equilibrium, Atomic structure, Chemical thermodynamics, Chemical kinetics, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, States of matter, etc.

Organic Chemistry: Purification and characterization of organic compounds, Chemistry in everyday life, Organic compounds containing halogens, Organic compounds containing nitrogen, Some basic principles of organic chemistry, etc.

Inorganic Chemistry: Classification of elements and periodicity in properties, Hydrogen, D – and f – block elements, Environmental chemistry, Block elements (alkali and alkaline earth metals), Block elements group 13 to group 18 elements, etc.

Physics

Electrostatics, Kinetic theory of gases, Kinematics, Gravitation, Properties of solids and liquids, Physics and measurement, Laws of motion, Rotational motion, Thermodynamics, Electronic devices, Oscillations and waves, Electromagnetic induction and alternating currents, Current electricity, Optics, Work, energy and power, etc.

Mathematics:

Sequences and series, Binomial theorem and its simple applications, Statistics and probability, Trigonometry, Vector algebra, Permutations and combinations Sets, Relations and functions, Integral calculus, Matrices and determinants, Complex numbers and quadratic equations, Mathematical induction, Mathematical reasoning, etc.

How to Prepare

Candidates must go through the JEE Main syllabus and exam pattern and make a proper study routine accordingly.

· Focus on each and every topic

· Use NCERT books to clear your concepts

· Check previous year questions papers

· Solve mock test and participate in all India level test series

· Revise your syllabus regularly

· Take good sleep and do meditation & yoga

· Take healthy balanced diet and avoid junk foods.

 

JEE Main Admit Card & Exam Date

The Admit card of JEE Main January session will be released in December. Candidates can download there admit card by login to the applicant portal of JEE Main. The JEE Main exam will be held in the 1st week of January 2021.

So, candidates who wants to pursue engineering after there class 12th must appear in the JEE Main exam. The exam will be conducted for admission to top engineering colleges of the country including IIT’s, NIT’s, CFTIs and various other government & private engineering colleges.

As per the official tweet from the HRD minister NTA might conduct JEE Main in more regional languages in addition to English, Hindi & Gujarati.
