JoSAA announces 2019 seat allotment round 1

Candidates eying a berth at the engineering colleges like IIT, NITs can check their fate now. Joint Seat Allocation Authority, JoSAA  has come out with the  first list of seat allotment results. Candidates can check the Round 1 list at the official website josaa.nic.in

Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced 2019 and JEE Main 2019 with an All India Rank are qualified for the for JoSAA Counselling. 

Students can lock their seats by paying the fees by July 2, 2019. The windows would be open at respective RCs from tomorrow - June 28, 2019 to July 2, 2019 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.  A candidate is required choose between ‘freeze’, ‘slide’ or ‘float’ for the choice of the academic program. 

In case students accept the allotment result, they are required to report to the regional IIT or NIT/ other institute for document verification. 

Students must carry the original documents as well as a copy. The last day to present themselves for the document verification and closing admission is July 2, 2019. Students who have been allotted a seat in an institute but does not go to the reporting centre cannot later claim that seat. After making it to the counselling list, candidates are required to have scored a certain minimum marks in their qualifying examination to be eligible for admission to the IITs.
