NEET 2019 exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted its first NEET exam for undergraduate admission in medical and dental courses in the country today. The exam started at 2 pm and ended at 5 pm. The NEET UG 2019 exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Pen and Paper Mode at different centres located in 154 cities throughout the country.
NTA is expected to release the answer key soon on its official website i.e. ntaneet.nic.in. A specific date for NEET answer key has not been announced by the NTA yet. Candidates can make online challenge against the NEET answer key on payment of non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/- per answer challenged.
"If found correct, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Based on the revised Answer Key, result will be prepared and declared," said the official notification. "No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/nonacceptance of his/her challenge," it added.
This year, NTA had also prescribed a dress code for the candidates appearing for the NEET examination. The dress code rules have been strictly placed to avoid any irregularities, malpractices or cheating during the exam.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the aftermath of Cyclone Fani, which left Odisha massively devastated, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has been postponed. Revised dates for the exam will be announced soon. It was earlier scheduled to be held on 5 May, 2019. An official communique had said, "NEET exam scheduled for 5th May in Odisha postponed as per the request of State Govt working on relief and rehabilitation work in the wake of #FaniCyclone. Revised dates for the exam in Odisha will be announced soon.''
Around 15 lakh students appeared for the NEET 2019 competitive exam this year for admission to the different medical courses in India and abroad.
