PSTET 2018 Exam Postponed.

New Delhi:

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2018, which was earlier scheduled for December 22, 2019, has been postponed. The exam will now be conducted on January 5, 2020. As per the latest notification, the admit card for the examinations will be provided soon. Once the PTET Admit Card 2019 is released, candidates can download it from the official website i.e. pstet.net. Candidates who have applied for the examination must keep checking the official website at regular intervals to keep a track of the rescheduled examination.

The exam will be conducted in two sessions - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted for the candidates interested to teach from Classes 1 to 5 while Paper 2 will be conducted for the candidates who are interested in teaching classes 6 to 8. Both the examinations will be conducted for 1.5 hours each and candidates will be required to answer 150 multiple choice questions in each paper.

The different sections in Paper 1 and 2 of the examination are as follows:

Paper 1 will have the sections such as - Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory), Language I (Compulsory), Language II (Compulsory), Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

Paper 2 of PSTET 2019 will include - Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory), Language I (Compulsory), Language II (Compulsory), Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher), Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher).

To quaify PSTET, a candidate must score at least 60% marks. For recruitment, a separate subject test will be conducted for primary and upper primary class teachers. Candidates must make sure to carry the admit card at the time of examination along-with a valid photo-ID proof. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the admit card.
