The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) has announced the Civil Services (Main) Exam 2019 examination schedule. Candidates can check the CSE (Main) 2019 exam dates on the official website of UPSC, i.e. upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC will conduct the CSE (Main) Exam 2019 from September 20, 2019 to September 29, 2019. Other than this, the CSE Main Exam pattern will comprise 9 papers of conventional essay type out of which 2 papers will be qualifying in nature.
Candidates will be given the final rank on the basis of the marks obtained in the main examination (written part as well as interview).
Candidates will be given the rank based on marks obtained in the CSE Main exam and interview. Candidates who qualify the CSE Main exam will be shortlisted for the interview round.
Those who opt for Indian language option for the written test of the CSE Main exam can choose either the same language or Hindi or English as the medium of the interview. In the meantime, the interview round will carry 275 marks with no minimum qualifying marks.
Candidates who have qualified the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam are only able to appear for the CSE Main exam, and the marks obtained in Main exam and interview will decide the selection of a candidate.
