VITEEE, the common entrance exam for admission to all Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) have been rescheduled on the pretext of Lok Sabha elections. The VIT exam will be conducted from April 10 to April 21, 2019.
The notice said, "The proposed schedule of VITEEE-2019 is based on the number of applications received in particular test city. During hall ticket booking, please select and confirm the Date / Session / Subject (VITEEE-test subject) carefully. Under any circumstances, the selected Date / Session / Subject (Test subject) will not be altered. Booking the session and the subject is the responsibility of the applicant."

Candidates will be allowed to book a slot or seat for examination from March 28, 2019, according to the official notification. Slot Booking (Hall Ticket Booking) password will be sent separately to the candidate's registered mobile number on or before the above-mentioned date.
The Election Commission of India has announced that the General Election will be held on April 11, 18, 23 and April 29, 2019, as well as May 6, 12 and 19, 2019.

In case a candidate fails to book a slot, the institute will automatically create one for them.
VITEEE-2019 exam will be conducted on all days and in all sessions in VIT-VELLORE / VIT-CHENNAI / VIT-AP/ VIT-BHOPAL campuses from April 10 and April 24 (except election dates).
The JEE Main exam was also rescheduled, it was earlier announced to be held from April 7 to April 20 onwards. It will be now held on April 7 (Paper 2 – B. Arch/ B. Planning). However, Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech) will be held from April 8, 9, 10 and 12.
