CAT 2018 results have been declared on the official website iimcat.ac.in. This year, Rounak Majumdar has topped the CAT 2018 with stunning 100 percentile! According to Jagran Josh, Majumdar scored 99.95 in VARC, 99.98 in DILR, 100 in QA that made an over score of 100 percentile. The link of CAT 2018 results has gone live on the official website. The CAT score card will have the following information - section-wise scaled scores, total score, and percentile score.
According to the report, Majumdar started preparing for the CAT 2018 from August last year. The all-India topper stressed on the fact that all students and CAT aspirants must take mock tests to understand the level of difficulty. Majumdar used to read two books every month. Before the D-Day exam, Majumdar took more than 30 mock tests to gauge his situation. The topper has applied for IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Calcutta, FMS and XLRI. Majumdar wishes to find a career in finance, especially investment banking.
As per the official information by CAT authorities, the scores would be normalized multiple times. Individual SMS messages are also being sent to candidates informing them of their overall percentiles.
CAT Results 2018: Here are the steps to check your score:
Step one: Go to official CAT 2018 website: www.iimcat.ac.in.
Step two: Click on the Login tab.
Step three: Enter the required details.
Step four: Submit and view your score card.
After logging in, you should download your scorecard as it will be required when applying to management institutes for selection rounds.
CAT 2018 was conducted over two sessions on November 25 and two different test forms administered over the two sessions. As per the reports, in order to ensure equity and fairness to all candidates who appear in separate sessions, CAT 2018 scores will be normalized.
Over two lakh candidates had appeared for the CAT. Those who clear the exam will be eligible for admission to management courses, including PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX at the IIMs and other management colleges across the country. Last year, 20 candidates including 2 females and 3 non-engineers scored 100% percentile.
The CAT 2018 score will be valid till December 31, 2019
