The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday declared the CBSE Class 10th 2018 results at 1 pm. The CBSE has made the results available on its official website--cbse.nic.in.
According to CBSE officials, the overall pass percentage in the Class 10 board examinations is 86.70. Girls, with a pass percentage of 88.67, outshone boys, who registered a pass percentage of 85.32.
Prakhar Mittal from Gurugram, Bijnor's Rimzhim Agrawal, Shamli's Nandni Garg and Sreelakshmi G from Cochin topped the CBSE Class 10th Examination, each scoring 499 marks out of 500.
Talking about Nandni's extraordinary results, her father said, "I am proud of my daughter. She has always been focused and wants to become an IAS officer in the future. She has an inquisitive nature, always wants to learn new things".

Anil Swarup, secretary of HRD Ministry, on Tuesday took to micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the news about the announcement of the CBSE Class 10th results.
"Congratulations to those who have succeeded. This is basically preparation for 12th board. Those students who have got compartment should prepare again and I'm sure they'll do well," Prakash Javadekar was quoted by ANI.
This was the first batch to appear for the Class 10 board examinations after the CBSE decided to junk the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and reintroduce the board exams.
Meanwhile, students, who are waiting eagerly to download their CBSE Class 10th results 2018, may go through the following steps.

Step 2: Click on the link 'CBSE 10th Result 2018'
Step 3: Enter the required details such as Roll Number
Step 4: Check your result
Step 5: Take a print out of the same for future reference

Additionally, students will also be able to check their results on Google by searching for CBSE Class 10 result.
"CBSE has partnered with Google for the first time to host the board’s Class 10 and Class 12 results on the search engine," Hindustan Times quoted CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma.
Earlier, the CBSE conducted the Class 10th examination between March 5 to April 4 for the academic session 2017-18.
This year, 28.24 lakh students registered for the CBSE board exams. Out of these, around 16.38 lakh students appeared for the Class 10th boards while 11.86 lakh students sat for the Class 12th board exams in 2018.
CBSE declared the results for Class 12 examination on May 26, 2018. Total 83.01 per cent candidates have cleared the CBSE Class 12 examination. Meghna Srivastava from Ghaziabad topped the examination with 499 marks out of 500.
