New Delhi:
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared this year's results of the Class 12. The candidates can access the results from board's official websites, the links for which are cbse.nic.in and www.results.gov.in.
The results will also be emailed to the candidates.
Steps to check CBSE Class 12th results 2017:
1. Go to the official websites- cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.
2. Click on Exam Results
3. Click on CBSE 12th results 2017
4. You will be redirected to another page
5. Click on the link
6. Enter your Roll No
7. Click on Submit
A total of 10,98,981 students had enrolled for Class-XII exams, a 2.82% increase from the preceding year's number. The examination was conducted at 10,678 centres across the country.
The all India percentage this year has been 82% which was one percent less than to that of last year's 83.05 per cent. However, the country witness an increase in 95 to 100 percent scorers. While last year the number of top scorers was 9351, this year it is 10091.
Raksha Gopal of Amity International School Noida has emerged as the all India topper with percentage of 99.6%. The second position was held by Chandigarh's Bhumi Sawant of Science stream who scored 99.4 per cent.
On the other hand, 3rd position witnessed a tie between two commerce students of Bhawan Vidyalaya in Chandigarh, Aditya Jain and Mannat Luthra who scored 99.2 per cent each.
HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar also congratulated the CBSE Class XII toppers in all three streams of Science, Commerce and Humanities.
Interestingly, this year the CBSE class XII results have been a centre of controversy as the board was keen to remove the moderation policy. However, it was the Delhi HC which ordered the board not to change the rules at the last moment.
