MPBSE: Girls perform better than boys in 10th &12th standard exam

After the result of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has been declared on Friday a new invention has come under the spotlight.

The board has declared the results of the Class 10 board examinations on Friday on its official website which is mpresults.nic.in.

According to the latest invention Girls outshone boys in terms of passing percentage in both 10th and 12th standard examinations of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE).

While 72.38 per cent of girls cleared the 12th standard examination the passing percentage of the boys is limited within 64.16 percent only.

In case of 10th standard examination the picture is quite similar as the girls brigade is again on the top with a passing percentage of 51.43 against 48.53 per cent of boys.

While Sanyam Jain of Tikamgarh topped std 12th exam by scoring 485 out of 500, Devprakash Manjhi from Dabra topped the merit list of std 10th by scoring 587 out of 600 marks.

Creating a new history Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has released both the results at his residence on Friday.

Declaring both the 10th and 12th standard examination results is a history itself as this has never happened since the examination process started all over the state.

Total 7,11,896 students had appeared in the 12th standard examination among which 1,68,548 candidates were private who were not regular students of higher secondary schools.

In class 10th examination 3,13,467 candidates were private among total 11,07,521 who have appeared for the same.

As many as 2,04,738 students secured first division in standard 10th, and 2,18,272 secured first division in 12th standard.

In 12th standard, 70.70 per cent students of government schools passed, while the percentage was 51.98 per cent in 10th examination.

For private schools, the passing percentage was 64.36 and 47.46 in 12th and 10th standard examinations respectively.

Being delighted Chief Minister Chouhan has said that he was feeling extremely happy to see students from smaller town performing better and the quality of the education has been enriched in the state.

"The state government would pay the fees of std 12th students who have scored more than 75 per cent marks and who get admission to institutes of national repute", Chauhan was quoted while interacting with reporters.

"Also, the students who have got more than 85 per cent marks in std 12th would be given laptops", the CM of the state added further.

Moreover, the government has a new plan to introduce NCERT syllabus in state schools to make the quality of education even better.
