The Directorate of Government Examination has declared the results of State level National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) for Tamil Nadu candidates on their website.
Candidates who had appeared for the exams can also directly visit the website at https://dge2.tn.nic.in/ and check their results.
How to Check NTSE 2018 Stage 1 result
The NTSE TN Stage 1 exam was conducted on November 4, 2018. NTSE TN Stage 2 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 16 2019.
The first stage exam is held on the first Sunday of November except in Nagaland, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Meghalaya and Mizoram where it is held on first Saturday of November. The exam includes a mental ability test and scholastic aptitude test. NCERT abolished negative marking since last year.
The second stage exam is held in May or June. Candidates who qualify the first stage exam are eligible to appear for this exam. The exam is held in Assamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu languages.
The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is one of the most competitive exams in India. NTSE Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship program for students of Class 10 from all over the country.
Scholarship Amount:
The rates of scholarship at different stages are given as under
1. Higher Secondary level: Rs. 1250/- p.m.
2. Graduate and Post Graduate: Rs. 2000/- p.m.
3. For Ph.D. degree (four years): As per UGC norm
NTSE Scholarship Eligibility:
All students below the age of 18 years and studying in Class X in any type of recognized school including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and Sainik School etc. will be eligible to appear at the State Level Examination from the State in which the school is located.
