UP Board Results 2018: UPMSP Class 10th, Class 12th results declared; toppers to be felicitated by Adityanath government

The UP Board Class 10th and Class 12th Results have been declared by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) at 12:30 pm on Sunday, April 29, 2018.

The board, also known as Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh, has made the results available at the official website, which is upmspresults.up.nic.in and upresults.nic.in.

In order to avoid heavy traffic, students may also log into other websites such as examresults.net/up result12, examresults.net/up/10th and indiaresults.com to check their results. The UP Class 10th Board exams 2018 was conducted between February 6 to February 22 while Class 12 th exams took place from 6 February to 12 March 2018.

The passing percentage of boys and girls in the Class 12 examination are 72.27 per cent and 78.81 per cent respectively. Rajneesh Shukla and Akash Maurya topped in the Class 12th examination with 466 marks. Ananya Rai from Ghazipur, Abhishek Kumar from Moradabad and Ajit Patel from Barabanki secured second position in the exam, Awadh Naresh Sharma, Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh told ANI.

Around 75.16 per cent students have cleared the Class 10th examination. Allahabad's Anjali Verma - 96.33%, Fatehpur's Yashashvi - 94.5% ranked first and second in the examination. Third place is jointly shared by Vinay Kumar (94.17%) and Sani Verma (94.17%).

"I am very happy to top the exam. I was confident of scoring good marks. Our school teachers helped us to prepare well. I want to become an engineer. My father is farmer who has always supported me,' said topper Anjali Verma.

Kanpur's Utkarsh, who bagged the 6th rank in the Class 10th examination, expressed his happiness about the result. "My father is a teacher at a government school. I want to become an IAS officer," he added.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated all the students, who have passed in the examinations. The chief minister has also applauded the exam organising authority for conducting the Class 10th and Class 12th examination and releasing the results within the shortest amount of time.

"I am really happy that such a good result has come. This time all the exams were held without any complaints of cheating coming from anywhere," Yogi told ANI.

Students, securing rank between first to tenth will be felicitated by the Uttar Pradesh government in Lucknow.

Adityanath has also consoled all those candidates, who have failed to clear the same. A little bit of hard work will take them towards success and they will clear the Up Board examination with a good percentage next year, Yogi said in another tweet.

Candidates, who are waiting eagerly to get their UP Board results 2018, may go through the following steps.

Step 2: Click on the link 'UP Board Result 2018 Class 10' or 'UP Board 12th Result 2018'

Step 3: Provide important details such as Date of Birth, Roll Number and others

Step 4: Click on Submit to get your UP Board High School & Intermediate Result 2018

Step 5: Result will be appeared on the screen

Step 6: Download your result

Step 7: Take a print out of the same for future convenience.

Amidst the anticipation for UP Board result 2018, the board has released the updated syllabus for high school students. As per the newly implemented NCERT rule, the Elementary Mathematics has been removed from the Class 9 and 10 syllabus. Earlier, students had option to choose among Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics, and Home Science (only for girls). For both Mathematics and Elementary Mathematics, 70 marks were allotted to theory paper and 30 marks to practical and internal assessment.
