Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora have emerged as joint topper in CBSE Board Class 12th examinations, the results for which has been declared on Thursday, i.e. May 2. Both Shukla and Arora have secured a picture-perfect marks of 499 each. While Shukla appeared for her CBSE Class 12 exams from DPS, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad, Arora belonged to SD public school of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Gaurangi Chawla of Nirmal Ashram school, Rishikesh Aishwarya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rai Bareilly and Bhavya of BR SK International Public School in Haryana's Jind stood second in the Class 12 examination with 498 marks. As many as 18 students, including 11 girls, scored 497 marks to claim the third position in the exam.
In an interview with the ABP, Hansika, the topper of the CBSE Class 12 exam, said she has secured 99 marks in English and 100 in other subjects including History, Political Science, Psychology and Hindustani vocal. Being asked about the key to her success, Hansika revealed that she did not join any tuition and has achieved it just through self-study.

Out of the total 13 lakhs students appeared, around 83.4 students have qualified in the CBSE Class 12th exam. Girls outshine boys yet again on Thursday with an impressive pass percentage of 88.70%. Whereas only 79.4 per cent boys have managed to pass the crucial Class 12 examination.
In terms of best performance, Trivandrum topped with a pass percentage of 98.2% while Chennai and Delhi bagged the second and third positions with 92.93% and 91.87% respectively.
Addressing a press conference, the board has declared the results for CBSE Class 12 examination, which was conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2019. The candidates, who have appeared for the examination, can now check their CBSE Class 12 results at the official websites of the board that are cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Students can also check their CBSE Board class 12 results at results.nic.in.
The results, which is usually announced by the third week of May, is being announced earlier than scheduled. In a surprise move, the CBSE Class 12 results have been announced within 28 days of the last date of the examination.
