HPBOSE 10th Result 2019: The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or HPBOSE has announced HPBOSE 10th Result 2019 today. The candidates who have appeared for the HPBOSE Class 10 Results are asked to keep all the details ready for the fast and easy access to the result. 13.22 pm: The overall pass percentage is 60.79 percent. Girls have performed better than boys this year too with 64.33%. The pass percentage for boys is 57.48 percent. Atharv Thakur topped the exam with 98.71 percent followed by Paras, Dhruv Sharna, Ridhi Sharma who secured second position with 98.75 percent. A total of 111980 have appeared for the exam, out of which 67319 candidates have passed.

12.53 pm: Atharv Thakur has topped the Class 10 board examination with 98.71 per cent. Three students have secured the second spot with 98.57 per cent. The students are Paras, Dhruv Sharma, Ridhi Sharma.
12.45 pm: HPBOSE has declared HP 10th Result 2019. This year 111980 students have appeared for the exam out of which 67319 candidates have passed. The pass percentage has dipped this year. Last year the pass percentage was 63.39 percent.
12.42 pm: HPBOSE 10th Result 2019 declared. The overall pass percentage is 60.79 percent.
12.37 pm: The official site as for now is still not working due to heavy traffic. Candidates are advised not to panic and keep checking the official site for result.
12.35 pm: A total of 1.22 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam this year. Out of which 1,11,977 candidates have appeared in regular mode and 10,414 have appeared through State Open School.
12.28 pm: HPBOSE Class 10 Results announced.
12.26 pm: Of total 95492 candidates who have appeared for the exam. A total of 58,949 have passed and 19,728 students have failed the exam. While 18102 candidates will be reapearing for compartment exams. The dates of compartment exams will be announced soon.

12.19 pm: Earlier, the result was scheduled to be released at 11am which was delayed due to uncertain reason. Last year HPBOSE 10th Result was declared on May 3, 2019.

12.04 pm: The Himachal Pradesh Board will declare the results of Class 10 examination on Monday, April 29 at 12:30 pm. The students can check the result through the link provided above at 12:30 pm.

11.33 am: There is no information regarding results on the official website of the board.
11.24 am: In 2018, the top 10 positions were shared by 33 students with 97.71 per cent at rank 10. This was when the pass percentage was low. This year the same is expected to be on the higher end.
11.23 am: There are few reports suggesting that the results are not releasing today.
11.10 am: HPBOSE class 10 or matric exams were conducted over 1800 centers across the state for which the Himachal Board will declare the result today.
11.09 am: Board to announce HPBOSE Class 10 Results in next 50 minutes.
11.03 am: To pass the exam candidates will have to score 33 per cent marks in each subject and an over all score of 33 per cent.
10.40 am: In 2018, the overall pass percentage was 63.39%. It was nearly 4 per cent lower than 67.57 per cent which was the pass percentage of 2017. This year, a positive result is expected and the pass percentage is likely to rise.
10.40 am: The HPBOSE officials had informed that the result will be declared at noon and will be available for the students to download. The result was earlier expected by 11 am but the same has now been postponed to be declared at 12 (noon).
Last year, the HPBOSE 10th result was declared on May 3 and the overall pass percentage was 66.15 per cent. The HPBOSE secretary Harish Gajju just confirmed the result timing. “We are not sure about declaring the results today, as there were some issues regarding uploading the results on the official websites,” said he.
In class 12, the pass percentage has declined to 62.01%. It has been on a downward slope since 2016. It is a huge dip of nearly 7% from last year when the pass percentage was 69.67%. In 2017, the same was 72.89% and 78.93% in 2016.

About Himachal Pradesh Board:
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has been in existence since 1969 and was established under Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968. The HPBOSE was initially located at Shimla, which was later shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. Despite the tough terrain of the state, the Board has more than 8,000 affiliated schools and additionally has more than 1,650 examination centres in the state. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has also established 19 information centres, book depots to provide required educational resources to the students.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education regulates affiliated schools and conducts Board examinations for more than 3 lakh students at both the SSC and the HSC level. Apart from the board examinations to regulate and access the competency level of its academic staff, it conducts JBT and TTC examinations too.
