ICSE 10th Results 2019

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced ICSE (Class 10) Results today. The board had earlier confirmed that the ICSE Class 10 results will be announced at 3 pm. The scorecards are available on the official website of the board i.e. cisce.org. The candidates must note that they can also get the access of the scorecards through this page as well. After the announcement of the results, we will be providing the direct link here. The candidates must note that the results of both class 10 and class 12 results will be announced at the same time.

The CISCE conducted the class 10 exams from 22 February 2019 to 25 March 2019. During last year, the board announced the ICSE results on May 14, 2018. However, the results declaration is advanced by a week’s time during this academic year.

14.59 pm: In Class 12, 80,880 students from 1,034 schools appeared for the exam, which was conducted in 48 written subjects. Of these, 14 were Indian languages, five foreign languages and two classical languages. In both the classes girls have outperformed boys. In Class 12, the pass percentage of girls is 97.63 per cent while that of boys is 94.96 per cent. Similarly, in the Class 10 examination, the pass percentage of girls is 98.95 per cent while that of boys is 98.15 per cent.

14.53: ICSE or Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and ISC or Indian School Certificate exam results will be released on the official websites of the council -- cisco.org -- for the students to download.

14.51 pm: Council has conveyed its best wishes to all its candidates.

13.43 pm: From this academic year onwards, the CISCE has revised the passing marks criteria for ICSE and ISC. In order to be declared as having passed the examination, candidates shall obtain 33 percentage instead of 35 percentage for passing ICSE. For passing class 12, students need to score 35 percent instead of 40 per cent.

12.44 am: According to the sources, the board officials have made all the required arrangements and will be announcing the results on time.

11.57 am: The candidates who have appeared for the examination are asked to keep all the details ready for the fast and easy access to the results. 

11.50 am: CISCE to announce class 12 results at 3.00 pm

In the ICSE and ISC exams in 2018, girls topped boys in terms of overall score. A total number of 80,880 candidates took the exams and 64 students got more than 99 percent in aggregate marks. Swayam Das from Mumbai emerged as the topper in 2018 ICSE exams by scoring 99.40 percent marks. Two candidates namely Jasmine Kaul Chahal from Jalandhar and Anokhi Amit Mehta from Mumbai shared the second position by scoring 99.20 per cent. The third position was bagged by 12 candidates across the country.

Last year, the result for classes 10 and 12 were declared on May 14. Class 10 results recorded a pass percentage of 98.5 per cent, while 96.21 per cent of the students passed Class 12 exam. Mumbai's Swayam Das was the Class 10 all-India topper with a score 99.4 per cent. Seven students have topped the Class 12 exam with an identical score of 99.5 per cent.

About the council

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) was established to replace the Cambridge School Education Certificate and it took over three decades to reach to its current form. The first ICSE (Class 10th) and ISC (Class 12th) examinations were conducted in the year 1986, in accordance with the New Education Policy 1986.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) also conducts Certificate of Vocational Education Examination at higher secondary level. The Joint Council of Higher Education under the aegis of the CISCE was established complying with the National Policy of Education 1986 on the recommendation of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
