The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is yet to upload the answer scripts of all students and release the results of students who failed in Telangana Intermediate Examinations. The deadline initially set for the process was May 27. As many as 882 students who have been marked failed are still waiting for their revised results.
Among the students who passed the exams and have applied for re-verification, the results of about 40 are still pending with the board. A source told TOI that answers scripts of these students have not been sent to Globarena Technologies Private Limited, the firm handling data and result processing for the board from the spot valuation centres. A senior official of the company told TOI, ''Officials are still working on locating the answer scripts of these students Once they send them to us, we will immediately scan the copies and upload them.''
This delay has left students in distress as the Intermediate Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE) is just three days away. Parents also think that it would have an adverse effect on students as they might miss out a chance to join their preferred institute. ''The counselling for engineering and other courses in neighbouring states have already begun. Many students have appeared for these entrance tests, but cannot attend counselling due to the delay in re-verification of results,'' said V Satyanarayana, a parent, whose daughter has applied for re-verification.
The board officials said that the process will be completed in a day or two. They added that the delay was because they were making sure that there are no errors or mismatches in the answer scripts before they are uploaded.
