10.00 am: Sougata Das from Muhammadpur Desopran Vidyapth has secured the first position with 694 marks
9.37 am: Pass percentage records all time high, Sougata Das tops with 694 marks.
9.35 am: This year, the number of girls appeared is higher than the boys. The number of girls appeared was 6,21,266 and the number of boys appeared was 4,81,555. The examination was conducted in 2,819 centres across the state. There was also a sharp rise of candidates, 11,02,921, last year it was 10,71,846.

9.33 am: East Midnapore has topped among district with a pass percentage of 96.01 per cent. Kolkata has secured the second spot and West Midnapore secured the third rank.

9.08 am: The WBBSE Board will declare the Madhyamik Pariksha Result 2019 will be formally announced in a Press Conference at 9 AM followed by the publication of the result online on the websites at 10 AM.

8.50 am: The duration of West Bengal Class 10 exam was 3 hours and it was held in the afternoon shift from 12 PM to 3 PM.
8.36 am: In 2019, the Madhyamik Exam 2019 of WB Board was conducted from 12th February to 22nd February, 2019.
8.16 am: This year a total of 10, 66,000 students appeared in the WB Madhyamik examination, out of which 10, 64,980 were regular students. The percentage of girl students was 56.65 while that of boys was 43.35 per cent in the WB Board Class 10 exam 2019.

About West Bengal Board
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was established through the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950, though it started functioning only around the year 1951. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is entrusted with responsibilities such as providing the curriculum for affiliated schools, monitoring the implementation of education policies and conducting yearly West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination. Each year, around 10 lakh plus students take the West Bengal Board Madhyamik Examination.
