CBSE Exams 2019: Board to release Class 10, Class 12 date sheet in January

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams to be held next year in January, according to sources. Students would be able to check the examination schedule on CBSE’s official website www.cbse.nic.in. However, there has been no official update about the exact date when the date sheet will be released. Earlier, it was reported that the exam date sheet would be released in October 2018. 

The CBSE has changed the exam pattern for Class 12 English question paper for this year’s board exams. The changes have been introduced for English (Core) exam pattern that will render the question paper different from those of previous years. For example, now instead of three passages, there will only be two passages in section A (Reading).

The board has already released a list of vocational subjects on the official website. For years, CBSE board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 which used to be conducted in March will now be held in February from 2019. There are about 40 vocational courses offered by the board for Class 10 and Class 12 students. CBSE will also conduct the following exams in February as these subjects have a larger practical component and shorter theory papers:

  • Typography and Computer Applications (English)
  • Web applications
  • Graphics
  • Office Communication
