GSEB releases board exam datesheet for SSC and HSC examinations

New Delhi:

The board exam date sheet for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) has been released by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) on its official website. The official link to know the schedule is gseb.org. As per the schedule released by the GSEB, the board examinations will commence from March 7, 2019, and will conclude on March 23.

According to a report published in TOI, about 17.50 lakh candidates are expected to appear for their SSC and HSC board exams in 2019.

Exam Schedule 2019: GSEB SSC and HSC

  • GSEB SSC: March 7 to March 19, 2019
  • GSEB HSC Science: March 7 to March 16, 2019
  • GSEB HSC General: March 7 to March 23, 2019
  • GSEB Vocational Courses: March 13 to March 23, 2019

In 2018, the GSEB SSC examinations were conducted from March 12 to March 23. Around 10 lakh students appeared for the exam, out of which the total number of male candidates were 68,5462. The total number of students who passed was 3,14,510 while 3,66,359 failed the exam.

About GSEB

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board which is also known as GSEB is a government body which was created and is maintained by the state government of Gujarat. The body is mainly responsible for directing and conducting the state’s secondary and higher education exams. The Gujarat board was created on 1st May 1960 based on the ‘The Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972’. The Board conducts two (including four-semester type examinations) main examinations – the SSC exam for class 10 and the HSC for class 12th in Gujarat. The Board also holds a talent search for students of class 8 and class 9 in five major subjects every year.
