Due to the sweltering heat conditions, the Patna district administration today declared summer vacation in all schools from May 10. All public and private schools in Patna will be closed for summer vacation from May 10 in view of the heat wave prevailing here.
Last year in June 2018, the Bihar government had ordered suspension of academic activities upto standard 8th in all schools in Patna in voew of the prevailing hot weather conditions.
Private schools in the state capital were slated to open on June 18 but it was extended due to prolonged heatwave conditions arising out of the delay in the arrival of the monsoon. Patna District Magistrate Ravi Kumar had ordered summer vacation of students from class 1 to 8 be further extended till June 23 in view of heat wave conditions here.
