Private schools in Tamil Nadu should strictly follow the rules regarding summer vacation and not take special classes to the students, Education Minister K A Sengottaiayn said on Saturday.
The direction regarding summer vacation rules have been issued to all private schools in the state by the government, the minister said, urging them not to take special classes during the period.
The government has taken all important measures to prepare the students to appear for entrance examinations, Sengottaiayn.
About 4,000 meritorious students, based on merit in SSLC, will be given special training for the exams, the minister added.
