The Andhra Pradesh State Higher Education Council (APSCHE) has announced the schedule of the Common Entrance Tests which is to be conducted by the council for the academic year 2019-20. According to the schedule released by the council, the AP Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test will be held from April 20 to 24.
The exam schedule was released by the Andhra Pradesh State Human Resource Development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Vijayawada. The candidates who are preparing for the examination must note that all the CETs will be held in online mode. During the event, the minister said that the APSCHE has not missed a single date of examination or announcement of results since its establishment in 2014, post -bifurcation.
“Complete information on the CETS from the schedule to counselling has been put up in the App. It is especially useful for the candidates to locate their examination center and is designed in a student-centric model,” said the minister.
Interestingly, the both APEDCET and AP LAWCET are scheduled to be held on the same day of May 6. While the EDCET will be held in the morning session between 10 am to 1 pm, the LAWCET will be held in the afternoon session between 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
The candidates who are applying for both the examinations will have enough time to attempt both the examination. The number of students attempting the APEAMCET has been increasing since 2014 and this year the council is expecting over two lakh applications. The minster said that the number of students migrating from the Andhra Pradesh to other states to pursue Engineering education has fallen as the APSCHE started conducting EAMCET early and finishing the admissions before August, every year.
The CETs begin with AP Engineering Common Entrance Test (for B Tech Lateral Entry) to be held on April 19 and will end with AP Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test to be held from May 8 to 15.
