CBSE NEET EXAM 2018

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Neet) 2018 on May 6. The NEET exam is conducted every year to admit students in MBBS and BDS courses.

The entrance examination is the only medical entrance examination other than AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS examinations for admissions to medical and dental seats in the country.

Also putting an end to speculations by students, teachers and parentsn the CBSE has notified on NEET official website that no changes will be made in the syllabus of NEET from last year.

This clarification was released after sources quoted Ministry of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar as taking the state board syllabus into consideration for NEET 2018 examination. The notification for NEET 2018 is expected soon.

"The syllabus of NEET (UG), 2018 will be exactly same as it was for NEET (UG), 2017. There is no change in the syllabus for NEET (UG), 2018," the notice on the website reads.

Last year the NEET exam was conducted on April 5.

The official notification will be issued on or before January 30, sources said.

Aspirants seeking admission should visit the official website – cbseneet.nic.in – to fill up the application form since there is no provision for offline mode for admission to the various UG medical or dental courses across India.

Under the MCI Act of 1956, medical colleges needed permission to be set up or established, for renewal or increase in intake. The NMC bill takes it down to establishment and recognition. There will be no need of annual renewal.

The MCI has been accused of being cloudy in its accreditation process.
