Delhi University’s second cut-off list likely on July 1 at du.ac.in

Delhi University’s second cut-off list 2017 will be released on Saturday. Students can check the list at DU’s official website at du.ac.in. After logging on to the website, the students will get two options - ‘UG Admissions 2017- (Entrance Based)’ and ‘UG Admissions 2017-(Merit Based)’, from where they can check the cut-off for admissions.

On Thursday, Delhi assembly unanimously passed a resolution to reserve 85 percent seats for the students belonging to Delhi in the colleges funded by the Delhi government, which are affiliated to the Delhi University (DU).

The resolution was moved by Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia.

"Delhi government, fully or partially, funds 28 of the 110 affiliated institutes. The money of tax payers from Delhi is being used to fund these colleges... the House hereby resolves that 85 per cent seats should be reserved for students from Delhi, in the colleges that are funded by the Delhi government," the resolution said.

Important Dates to remember:

-Notification of Second Cut-off Marks List by the Colleges: July 1

-Document verification and approval of admission: July 1 to July 4

-Notification of Third Cut-off Marks List by the Colleges: July 7

-Document verification and approval of admission: July 7 to July 10

-Notification of Fourth Cut-off Marks List by the Colleges (if any): July 13

-Document verification and approval of admission: July 13 to July 15

-Notification of Fifth Cut-off Marks List by the Colleges (if any): July 18

-Document verification and approval of admission: July 18 to July 19

Document verification:

Verification of documents and approval for admissions will be done between 9:30 am and 1:30 pm for morning colleges and 4 pm to 7 pm for evening colleges. "After approval of admission, the applicant has to log on to undergraduate admission portal for online payment of admission fee," the release said.

The cut-offs of Delhi University colleges are as follows:

1. Daulat Ram's first cut-off

English (Honors) - 97%

BA Programme - 91%

B.Com (Honors) at 96.5%

Economics (Honors) at 96.5%

2. Maharaja Agrasen's first cut-off

B.Com (Honors) - 95%

BA programme - 88%

BSc Electronics - 92%

BA (Honors) in Hindi - 85%

English (Honors) programme - 94%

3. Sri Aurobindo College's first cut-off

English (Honors) - 92%

B.Com (Honors) - 95%

Hindi (Honors) - 74%

BA Programme - 83%

4. Ramjas College's first cut-off

B.Com (Honors) - 97.5%

Economics (Honors) - 97.5%

English (Honors) - 96.5%

History (Honors) - 97%.

Chemistry (Honors) - 96%

5. Hansraj College's first cut-off

Economics (Honors) - 97.25%

B.Com (Honors) - 97.5%

-In 2016: Ramjas College- 99.25 per cent for BCom (Hons).
