In 2018 JEE (Mains) candidates faced difficulties in solving Mathematics and Physics paper. While the majority of students complained about Maths paper of being lengthy, others found the Physics paper tough to crack.
Going by the experts’ prediction, the cut-off for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2018 will be between 95 to 105. Prof Uday Nath Mishra of Basic First expects the cut off to go around within 80 to 90.
"Expected cut off is 80(+-5%) marks out of 360. The paper was moderate and based on NCERT. Chemistry was the lengthiest. Organic chemistry was found more difficult, physical chemistry was more numerical based, whereas, inorganic chemistry was easy. Maths was mostly based on class 12 syllabus and physics was based on class 11 syllabus," Mishra was quoted by a leading daily.
While the offline exam was conducted on Sunday, April 8, the JEE Mains online mode will be held on April 15 and April 16.
