Amid anticipation for merit lists of various reputed institutions across India, the Mumbai University on Wednesday released the first cutoff for admission to various first-year degree courses.
The students, who managed to make the cut should get their documents verified and the admissions approved within June 22, 2018.
The varsity has started the verification of documents and payment process for the first merit list on Wednesday. The cutoff list for each of the colleges affiliated with the Mumbai University is available on its official website - www.mu.ac.in.
Let’s have a quick look at the cut off list for various degree courses at different colleges affiliated with the university.
Mithibai College:
95.24% for admission to FYBA
92.6% for FYBCom, 53.08 for FYBSc
79.40% for FY Computer Science
85% for FY Biotechnology
67.54 for FY Biochemistry.
Notably, this cutoff list has been released for the general category students and in order to access the stream-wise cutoffs, candidates need to log in to the official website of the college.
Jai Hind College:
94 % for FYBAa
77 % for FYBSc
The merit list for students, who have applied for admission to First Year Degree programme, is also available at the official portal of Jai Hind College.

St. Xavier's College:
The cutoff for FYBA for general candidates from Arts stream in HSC is 92.46% and 98% for other streams.
The cutoff for FYBA for Christian students from Arts stream in HSC is 84.31% and 95.20% for others.
The cutoff FYBSc for general students from Biological science is 89%. For students from non-biological science, the cut off is 92%. The cutoff, merit list, as well as interview and counselling schedule for various degree courses, are available on the official website.
Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics:
The cutoff for open category students for FYBCom is 94.33%
The cut off for FYBMS for Open category (Commerce) is 95.8%. For open category (Science) it is 91.6% and students want to take admission in open category (Arts) should have at least 89.2% marks in their 10+2 examination. The cut off for FYBSc IT, the cut off for open category is set at 67 marks.
First Day of Delhi University Admission 2018:
Meanwhile, the admission under the first cutoff list at Delhi University is underway for various affiliated colleges across the national capital. The varsity announced the first list of cutoff percentages on Monday night.
On Tuesday, with servers slowing down, candidates reportedly failed to access the registration forms needed to complete the admission procedure. Students who make the cut are directed to complete the procedure within Thursday.

This year it was a great relief for students in and around the national capital, as the merit lists, released by DU have seen a slight drop in the minimum required marks.
In the previous years, the university had made it difficult for the students by increasing the cut-off list for various undergraduate courses with each passing session.
Students can check the cutoffs for various colleges and universities on their respective websites and complete the admission formalities.
