The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to start the form correction process for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2019 on January 14. The form correction process is scheduled to end on January 31, 2019. Earlier, the agency had completed the registration process for the NEET UG 2019 exam on December 7, 2018. Now, the candidates will be given a chance to go through their application forms and correct their mistakes if any. The NEET UG examination will take place in pen-paper based (offline) mode on May 5, 2019.
The NTA will make the link for form correction process available at its official website which is nta.ac.in. With this, applicants will get a one-time opportunity to make corrections in their application forms. This is the first time that NEET UG exam will be conducted by the NTA. Prior to this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the prestigious national-level competitive exam. NEET UG is a gateway to various graduate and postgraduate medical courses and dental courses in government and private colleges across India.
The NEET UG 2019 Admit Cards will be released on the official website of the NTA (nta.ac.in) on April 15, 2019. The examination will take place for a duration of 3 hours and will have 180 objective type questions. Each question will carry 4 marks. With each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks while each incorrect response will result in the deduction of one mark.
The NEET UG 2019 question paper consists of three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Physics and Chemistry sections will have 45 questions each. Biology section will have two sub-sections - Zoology and Botany and both of these sub-sections will have 45 questions each. The exam will cover both class 11 and class 12 syllabus of these three subjects. The language of the question will be English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Telugu.

About NEET UG Examination:
NEET-UG has replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves in 2013. However, many colleges and institutes had taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses. Last year, NEET-UG was conducted by the CBSE on May 6 and the results were declared on June 4.
