The registration for UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2018 are open now. The last date for the online registration has been set for September 30. NET is a test to determine eligibility for college and university level professors and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. It aims to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research.

UGC NET admit cards will be available for download from November 19. The result for the exam will be declared on January 10, 2019.
From now, UGC NET will be conducted twice a year. The first one from December 9 to 23, 2018, and the second examination will be conducted in the month of July 2019.

1. General Category: Rs 1,000
2. OBC: Rs 500
3. SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender candidates: Rs 250

UGC NET 2018: Eligibility Criteria
Candidate needs to obtain minimum qualifying marks with aggregate 55% for general category and 50% marks for the reserved categories in master’s degree.
