Bihar School Education Board (BSEB), which has already released the application forms for the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET) 2017, has announced that the last day to submit the forms online is April 22. The BTET 2017 is scheduled to be held on June 11, 2017. Those who are eligible can submit their forms at bsebonline.net and candidates can also apply online through the same website.
The BTET is being held after a gap of six long years. All the procedures will be done online this time. Around 25 lakh candidates took the last BTET, which was held in 2011, registering a record in terms of number of applicants.
The first TET was conducted in 2011. At that time, the state government had announced that the test, which allows recruitment of teachers in government schools, will be held in regular intervals. It took more than six years for the state government to conduct the next TET.
Eligibility:
Only B.Ed. pass candidates are eligible to register for the test. There are total two papers in the BTET and one can appear for both. The upper age limit for applying is 35 years for general category candidates, and 38 years for women belonging to the general category. There is age relaxation for reserved category.
Paper 1: Classes I to V. The age shouldn’t be less than 18 years
Paper 2: Classes VI to VIII. The age should not be less than 21 years
Application fee: The fee for general category for single paper is Rs 400 and for both the papers it is Rs 600. The fee for SC, ST candidates is Rs 200 for single paper and Rs 300 for both.

Important dates for Bihar TET 2017:
Last date to submit form: April 25
Last date to deposit fee through e-challan: April 27
Date for correction in online form: April 28
Bihar TET 2017 Exam Date: June 11
In order to prevent any malpractice, the BSEB allowed only those candidates to enter the exam hall who have valid ID proofs such as voter card or Aadhar card. Biometric machines have also been introduced in order to check impersonation. Hence, candidates will be required to give their thumb impression before making entry into the exam hall.
Also, answer sheets with barcode and OMR sheets will also be introduced this year.
