This year, the board conducted the examination in January and February 2019. The recruitment drive will fill up total 64,371 post vacancies where there are 27,795 assistant loco pilot posts and 36,576 technician posts. PET and Document Verification will be followed after final answer keys are released.

The Indian Railways is undergoing one of its biggest recruitment drive in recent times. According to reports, more than 1.2 lakh vacancies for various posts like Level 1 (Group D) and Level 2 (ALP and Technicians) have been declared by the Railways. For the above-mentioned vacancies, 2.5 crore candidates applied for the posts. Very soon, more than 1.3 lakh vacancies will be declared by the Railways.
