The UPSC Civil Services result 2018 was declared on April 5, 2019, and not the commission has released the cutoff marks for the examination.
The cutoff marks for the General category in the GS Paper 1 at 98 was much lower than the last few years. The cutoff marks for the final stage after the interview i.e. marks secured by the last recommended candidate out of a grand total of 2025 was 982.
The minimum qualifying marks of the subjective Mains examination was 774 for the general category.
UPSC will come out with the answer keys of the GS paper 1 and paper 11 shortly as well as with the marks of the unqualified candidates. The examination would fill 812 posts in IAS, IFS, IPS, Central Services Group A, Group B services in the country. The candidature of 109 recommended candidates is provisional.Â

The examination was conducted in September-October, 2018 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-March, 2019. UPSC provides a “Facilitation Counter†near Examination Hall in its campus. In case of any concerns regarding the examination, recruitment or information required, the candidates can contact the examination centre on any of the working days. The facility is available from 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours.
Kanishak Kataria topped the UPSC civil services final examination results of which were declared on Friday, while Srushti Jayant Deshmukh came first among women. Akshat Jain has secured the All India second ranking, while Junaid Ahmad has secured the third position across the country. In fact, the top 25 candidates comprise 15 men and 10 women. A total of 759 candidates (577 men and 182 women) recommended for appointment to IAS, IPS.
