The UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) recruitment examination was postponed after authorities received information about the question paper being leaked. UP Special Task Force has arrested 11 people in connection with the case. Mobile phones, documents and Rs 15 lakh cash was also seized.

“11 people were arrested last night, including their mastermind Sachin (a teacher), in connection with UP tubewell operator paper leak case. Some papers & cash was retrieved from them” said Prashant Kumar, ADG Meerut, on UPSSSC exams (for tubewell operators) paper leak case.
Nearly two lakh candidates were appearing for a total of 3,210 vacancies.
The examination was scheduled to be held at 364 centres across the state. However, the commission said that the fresh schedule for the examination will be announced soon.

Many students protested against the authorities outside exam centres soon after the news of exam being postponed broke.
