Annual Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) examination is expected to be held on August 22. The test will be conducted by Basic Education Board Uttar Pradesh. UPTET is conducted for teacher recruitment in various government schools of Uttar Pradesh. The exam is conducted for the posts of primary school teachers from Class 1 to Class 5 and secondary school teachers from Class 6 to Class 8.

The exam is conducted in two stages:
Level 1: For primary level from Class 1 to 5 and
Level 2: For upper primary level from Class 5 to Class 8
However, a candidate has to pass both the exams if he wants to apply for both the levels.
Each paper in the test will be out of 150 marks. Minimum 60% marks are required for the candidate to pass the exam for which the qualifying certificate is only valid for five years.
The admit card will be generated seven days prior to the examination and can be downloaded from the official website of the conducting board.

UPTET 2018 Examination Fee:
General/OBC candidates: Rs 400
SC/ST: Rs 200
The fees can be paid online through Debit, Credit card or by e-banking.
