JEE Main 2020 Postponed Till End Of May, Announces HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal

The exam that was to be held in April will now be conducted after/in the last week of May due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokariyal released an official statement and said that the JEE Main has been postponed to the end of May 2020. This comes amid the lockdown conditions in the nation where students are struggling for the information of the major competitive examinations. The exam that was to be held in April will now be conducted after/in the last week of May due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.

HRD Minister took to Twitter and wrote, “Since Parents and Students have to travel to different examination centres, to avoid any inconvenience to them, I have directed National Testing Agency @DG_NTA to postpone NEET (UG) 2020 and JEE(Main) till last week of May.”

NTA has already released the NEET UG notification on its official website and the candidates are now waiting for JEE Main updates as well.

For the convenience of the students, we have mentioned some of the important details here:

  • NTA released the official notification on March 18.
  • Earlier, the examinations were now scheduled on April 5, 7,9 and 11, 2020.
  • The Testing Agency mentioned that it would be conducting the exam later, the dates of which would be announced by March 31, 2020.
  • The admit cards were issued on March 20.
  • As per the information the exam will be conducted in the last week of May 2020.
