MHRD has advised CBSE to promote school students of Class 1 to 8 to the next grade and Class 9 and 11 students to the next class based on school-based assessments. According to the official tweet from the twitter handle of MHRD, students of class 1 to 8 will be promoted simply, and students of Class 9 and 11 will be promoted to the next class on the basis of school-based assessments such as periodic tests project works, term exams and unit tests that were conducted so far. Apart from this, the tweet mentions that students who are not promoted this time will have to appear for the school based test through online or offline mode.
CBSE Board Exams 2020 Update
According to the latest update, HRD Minister has stated that CBSE will be conducting class 10 and class 12 exam of 29 main subjects only out of the total subjects that were postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus Outbreak. The official notification regrading this update will be released soon on the official website of CBSE, i.e. cbse.nic.in.
Meanwhile, many states such as Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have already taken the decision to promote school students (except class 10 and class 12) to the next class without exams due to the outbreak of COVID-19 Outbreak. In the meantime, many schools and colleges have also started to deliver online classes for their students to maintain the academic perfection by all means.
At this point of time, the entire country is going through the period of lockdown due to Coronavirus pandemic and everyone is advised to stay at home and follow all the necessary precautionary measures.
