NIRF Ranking 2020 Announcement Postponed Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

According to the official notification released by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the announcement of NIRF Ranking 2020 has been postponed in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

NIRF Ranking 2020 Announcement has been postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. According to the official notification released by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), the announcement of NIRF Ranking 2020 has been postponed in view of COVID-19 pandemic. The NIRF Ranking Announcement Postponement Notification is released on the official website of NIRF, i.e. nirfindia.org. According to the past trends, the NIRF Rankings are generally released in the first week of April. The NIRF 2019 Ranking was released on April 8, 2019.

NIRF Ranking 2020 Details

The NIRF is a methodology that ranks higher educational institutes on the basis of various parameters. The NIRF ranking system works under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, MHRD, Government of India. The NIRF Framework was launched by MHRD in the year 2015. The function of NIRF is to rank educational institutions including Management Institutes, Engineering Institutes, Universities, Colleges and Architecture Institutes on the basis of specific determinants and parameters.

In the NIRF Ranking 2019, IIT Madras was ranked number one among Engineering Institutes while AIIMS, New Delhi was ranked One in Medical Category. IIT Kharagpur was given number one rank in NIRF Ranking 2019 for the Architecture Category.

In the meantime, UGC NET, JEE Main and NEET UG exams along-with many other entrance exams are postponed or their application dates are extended due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic. At this point of time, everyone is advised to stay at home and follow all precautionary measures to combat the issue of COVID-19 virus.
