Parents Want Three Months School Fee Exemption Amid Coronavirus Lockdown

Parents from Noida have urged the state government to waive off the school fee of their children for the first quarter that is April-June 2020 due to complete lockdown in the country.

Parents from Noida have urged the state government to waive off the school fee of their children for the first quarter that is April-June 2020 due to complete lockdown in the country. In view of COVID-19 outbreak, all schools and colleges are shut down and no classes are being held as of now. In the wake of this situation, Parents of All Noida School Parents Association (ANSPA) have urged the state government to exempt the school fee of their kids for at-least three months.

ANSPA Urges Government To waive Off School Fee

Students’ parents have also written mails to the respective schools of Noida to waive off the school fee due to economic burden they are facing amidst the lockdown period. According to the parents and members of All Noida School Parents Association (ANSPA), it is becoming tough for them to pay the school fee of their children due to economic slowdown amid Coronavirus outbreak, which has affected everyone in some way or other.

Therefore, All India School Parents Association have requested the state government to consider the fee waiver application. Meanwhile, schools too have several obligation as they also need to pay salary to various staff members. At this point of time, many schools have also started providing online classes to students through virtual classrooms. This is being done to keep the learning rhythm of students intact.

Recently, Delhi Government has also decided to start online classes for government school students of Class 10 and Class 12. The online classes will be delivered through mediums such as Television, Smartphone and Computers. At this point of time, everyone is advised to stay at home and follow all precautionary measures to combat the issue of COVID-19.
