Puducherry School Students from class 1 to class 9 will be promoted to the next class without exams. According to the latest update, the Directorate of School Education, Puducherry has cancelled all exams from Class 1 to Class 9 amid the outbreak of Coronavirus outbreak. All students from class 1 to class 9 will be declared pass and promoted to the next class without examination. The decision has been taken by the board to combat the issue of COVID-19. Meanwhile, a major part of world population is affected by this dangerous outbreak of Coronavirus.
Earlier, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh government have also cancelled the school examinations from class 1 to class 8, and have decided to promote all students to the next class without any examinations. Meanwhile, the country is going through complete lockdown and everyone is advised to stay home and maintain personal hygiene. In view of COVID-19, it is a must for everyone to maintain social distancing and use face masks and hand santisers.

In view of COVID-19, CBSE and ICSE Boards have also postponed the Board Exams 2020 till March 31, 2020, and will release the revised timetable in due course of time. Government competitive exams such as UPSC Civil Services Personality Test and SSC CHSL Tier 1 exams are also postponed amid the outbreak of Coronavirus.
At this point of time, everyone is advised to stay home and maintain social distancing. Importantly, everyone must follow the necessary precautionary measures to combat the issue of COVID-19.
