Tribal School Holidays are going to be rescheduled due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. According to the orders of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, all states with the Eklavya Model Residential Schools and Eklavya Model Day Board Schools are asked to reschedule the holidays in view of COVID-19 Outbreak that has affected everyone in some way or the other. As the country is going through the phase of complete lockdown due to Coronavirus, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has ordered all Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and EMDBS to reschedule the holidays accordingly.
According to the instructions, the summer holidays will be declared as a main case and all the Eklavya schools will remain closed from March 21 to April 25, 2020. The schools may remain closed for a further period of time depending upon the situation. Meanwhile, entry of outsiders to the campus is also banned until the lockdown period is over.
Apart from this, the instruction released by the Ministry also states that students who are appearing for board exams and special classes will be in the campus due to the lockdown. Full care and support will be provided to students who are inside the campus. Students will be sent home once the examinations and lockdown period get over. All Eklavya schools are also instructed to sanitize the school campus that include hostels, administrative blocks, classrooms and other common areas.
Meanwhile, all schools and colleges have been shut down in the country and board exams across the state are postponed till further notice amid Coronavirus outbreak.
