The Delhi University (DU) is all set to begin the application process for admissions to 56,000 seats in 77 affiliated colleges from April 15, 2019 this year. Candidates can visit the official website du.ac.in to fill in the application form. Application window would be open till May 7, 2019.
The university would also be opening the correction window from May 20 for the candidates this year. In case the students are not satisfied with their marks, they can apply for the correction.
DU Admissions 2019: Changes made this year
This year, the Delhi University has introduced a few changes in the admission process. Earlier, when a student wished to change his/ her stream, he was faced with a 5% cut in his/her score. This has now been reduced to 2%. In addition, Sports and ECA quota would be de-linked from the admission cut-off this year. The trials would begin from May 20, 2019. The Delhi University is trying to contact the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to use their database for getting students' marksheets and certificates, the varsity said.
Colleges will be required to include representatives from various categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, northeast, in their grievance committees, the varsity added.
