Indore's Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Indore) has been accorded `Quality Improvement System (EQUIS)' accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an accreditation body for business schools. With this, IIM-Indore has become the second management institute in the country to get accreditation from three major global institutions.

IIM-Indore's Director Himanshu Rai said on Wednesday that IIM-Indore already has accreditations from the UK-based Association of MBAs (AMBA) and US-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Among 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), only IIM- Kolkata had achieved "the triple crown" earlier, he said. There are only 90 business schools worldwide which have the triple crown, he added.

With this achievement, IIM-Indore's partnership with international business schools would increase, Rai said. It is also expected to increase the number of global employers taking part in placement program of the institute, and level of salary packages on offer, he added.
