Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a medical college in Hazaribagh on February 17, Union Minister Jayant Sinha Sunday said. The Prime Minister will inaugurate a Medical College in Hazaribagh during his visit.

Earlier, PM Modi laid foundation stone of Medical Colleges at Chaibasa and Koderma in the capital of Jharkhand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a medical college in Hazaribagh on February 17, Union Minister Jayant Sinha Sunday said.  "The Prime Minister will inaugurate a Medical College in Hazaribagh during his visit. "He (PM Modi) agreed to visit Hazaribagh after being impressed by the implementation of Central and state schemes in Hazaribagh," the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation reporters.

Sinha, Lok Sabha member of the Hazaribagh seat, said inauguration of a railway link to Hazaribagh, construction of a super speciality hospital, start of construction work of airport and several other projects were the highlights of development of Hazaribagh.

Earlier, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh on January 27 inaugurated the second Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI) at Gouriakarma, 49 km from Hazaribagh town. PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the second IARI in June 2015. The Union Minister said that the IARI project will change the fortunes of young agriculturists and scientists as they will receive improved quality teachings and research in agriculture science, Singh said.

Also, in September 2018, PM Modi laid foundation stone of Medical Colleges at Chaibasa and Koderma in the capital of Jharkhand. The Prime Minister launched health protection scheme "Pradhan Mantri Jan-Aushadhi Yojana" (PMJAY), and 10 health and wellness centres in Jharkhand.
