Modi ji is on Hitler's path: Arvind Kejriwal's sharp swipe at PM over Gurugram assault video
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, one of the most vocal voices in the Opposition, has hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the gruesome assault video from Gurugram. In the viral video a group of men was seen mercilessly thrashing a man, his family and guests over a trivial issue of kids playing cricket. On Friday, more than 20 men stormed into the house of a resident of Gurugram’ Dhamaspur village and brutally assaulted the man, who has been identified as Mohammad Sajid. In the video, Sajid’s assaulters kept saying ‘go to Pakistan’ as they beat him black and blue.
Delhi Chief Minister took to Twitter and attacked PM Modi over the incident. “Hitler used to do similar things. Hitler’s goons used to beat up people, murder them but police would file case against the victims. Modi ji is also doing all this for power. He is walking on Hitler’s path. But Modi’s supporters can’t see that where the nation is going.”
The police sprung into action after the video of the assault went viral and an FIR was filed. A case has been registered under IPC sections 148 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 452 (house trespass), and 506 (criminal intimidation), an Indian Express report said.
Bhondsi SHO Surender Kumar said that some attackers have been identified and police will arrest all of them soon. The victim’s nephew Dilshaad said that he along with few of his friend were playing cricket in a vacant plot. Some time later, two men cam on a bike and objected to children playing cricket and said that they should ‘go to Pakistan and play cricket.’ Sajid stepped in and told the men to leave the children alone.
After ten minutes, the men along with a mob, thrashed everyone and fled with some valuables and Rs 25,000 in cash. The assault was recorded by a family member.
