After weeks of brainstorming, the Congress party on Sunday formally launched its slogan – Ab Hoga NYAY – for 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress party’s campaign for the upcoming general elections is centered around the party’s minimum income guarantee scheme called NYAY.
Launching the campaign, senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Anand Sharma said, "Our publicity campaign for Lok Sabha elections is simple. The campus focusses on justice. This word embraces all and it is not limited to the context of NYAY (the minimum income guarantee scheme promised in Congress manifesto). It promises justice to all, farmers, youths, entrepreneurs and for those who want a better future for their sons and daughters," Sharma said.
The theme song of the Congress party has been written by Javed Akhtar and the campaign video has been filmed by Nikkhil Advani. Mumbai-based Percept Edge is the main agency behind the campaign, Sharma said. Big container trucks fitted with screens will take the Congress party's message to various parts of the country, he said.
