He has been a talking point in political corridors of late. He is one of the actors who calls spade a spade and never hesitate on making political comments. Raj is considered to have an anti-BJP stance and has criticised PM Narendra Modi government on many occasions. He became vocal after his friend and senior journalist Gauri Lankesh was murdered.Â
Recently, he took a dig at the BJP after it lost three Hindi heartland states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. "CITIZENS mann ki baat .. elections after elections.. BYE BYE BJP💪💪 ...do you all know the reasons. OR when will you think ..with REASON #justasking, (sic)" he had tweeted after results of recently concluded Assembly elections were announced.Â
