New Delhi:

The Maharashtra State Commission for Woman is mulling to take action against Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi for his "objectionable" tweet on exit polls that took a dig at celebrity couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. A day after Indian news channels put out their Lok Sabha exit polls which predicted second term for the Modi government, Oberoi on Monday took a jibe at the exit polls by sharing a picture involving Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.

In the picture, he compared ‘Opinion Poll’ of Lok Sabha Elections with the relationship of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan. He even compared the ‘Exit Poll’ of Lok Sabha Elections with the relationship of himself with the former Miss World. In the last section of the image, it shows ‘The Result’ of the Lok Sabha Elections where Aishwarya is seeing with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aradhya.

Meanwhile, the actor has also been receiving backlash since the posting of the tweet.

On work front, Oberoi is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming flick and PM Narendra Modi biopic of same name.

After month of squabbling and petitioning, the makers of Vivek Oberoi-starrer biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced that the film will be released countrywide on May 24, a day after the results of the Lok Sabha elections are declared.

The film, titled 'PM Narendra Modi', was earlier set to release on April 11 but was banned by the Election Commission.

In its order last month, the EC had banned the screening of film during the poll period, saying any such film that subserves purpose of any political entity or individual should not be displayed in the electronic media. The Election Commission order had come a day before the movie was to be released.
