Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged opposition leaders namely Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav and MK Stalin to encourage people for high voter participation. PM Modi took to Twitter and wrote, “I appeal to @RahulGandhi, @MamataOfficial, @PawarSpeaks, @Mayawati, @yadavakhilesh, @yadavtejashwi and @mkstalin to encourage increased voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. A high turnout augurs well for our democratic fabric.â€

In a series of tweet, PM Modi also appealed leaders like K. Chandrashekar Rao, HD Kumaraswamy, Chandrababu Naidu and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to work towards bringing maximum Indians to the polling booths in the upcoming elections.

To woo the young voters to cast their votes in the upcoming polls, PM Modi urged leaders like Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Chirag Paswan and Anurag Thakur to increase awareness among the youth on the importance of voting.
