New Delhi:
After the Congress said no to its alliance offer, the Aam Aadmi Party has decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections on all the seven seats in Delhi. The AAP, which has already announced candidates on six seats, on Sunday announced Balbir Singh Jakhar its candidate for the West Delhi parliamentary seat. AAP leader Gopal Rai announced Jhakhar’s name as the party candidate in a press conference in Delhi.
On March 2, the AAP had announced the names of its candidates for six of the seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital. The AAP has fielded Atishi Marlena from East Delhi, Raghav Chaddha from South Delhi, Dilip Pandey from North East Delhi, Gugan Singh from North West Delhi, Brajesh Goel from New Delhi and Pankaj Gupta from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was keen for an alliance with the Congress in Delhi but the latter decided to go solo. Congress's decision to decline the offer irked the Delhi CM who alleged the party of having a secret understanding with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
"At a time when the whole country wants to defeat Modi- Shah duo, Cong is helping BJP by splitting anti-BJP vote. Rumours r that Cong has some secret understanding wid BJP. Delhi is ready to fight against Cong-BJP alliance. People will defeat this unholy alliance," Kejriwal had said.
