The Congress on Friday released its eighth list of candidates of 34 candidates for the April-May Lok Sabha elections. The party shifted Uttat Pradesh unit chief Raj Babbar from Moradabad to Fatehpur Sikri.
The party has nominated Imran Pratapgarhiya from Moradabad where Babbar's candidature was announced earlier.
According to sources, Babbar was not keen on contesting from Moradabad seat which is why the party reconsidered and shifted him to Fatehpur Sikri. His name was announced in the second list of candidates which was announced on March 13.

Congress fielded former Union Minister Renuka Chowdhury from Khammam in Telangana.
The party also fielded Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former Union Minister Karan Singh, from Udhampur constituency in Jammu and Kashmir.
While the list is of 35 candidates, it contains names for only 34 seats as the party left the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat for National Conference, with whom it has forged alliance in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Congress, in its first list of 15 candidates, had announced that party chief Rahul Gandhi will contest from his home turf Amethi while UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will fight from her bastion Rae Bareli.
So far, the party has announced names of 181 candidates for the upcoming Lok sabha elections. Â
